An emphasis on preparedness as everyone's concern

Month of July as Disaster Preparedness Month focuses on the essence and importance of being prepared all the time with the theme ” Kahandaan sa Pagtugon sa Sakuna, Tungkulin ng Bawat Isa”, as Engr. Patrick V. Mabag ( Executive Officer of Binalbagan LDRRMO) quote,  ” We never know when the disaster strikes but it is better to be prepared at all times”. The objective of the program is to showcase the preparedness of the disaster responder/s and community members.
In the Observance of the National Disaster Consciousness Month the Municipality Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) launched the program in the 1st of July together with CSOs, Private and Public Partner Agencies. An information Campaign through print and digital media, and educational awareness utilizing  successful lectures  with the academe around the municipality were implemented in the whole month of observance.
Fire and Earthquake Drill is an integral part  in the observance of Disaster Preparedness Month which is pursuant to the Executive Order No. 137, s. of 1999 is one of the highlight that was participated by the Local Government Unit employees and the LDRRMO were evaluated by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO). This is where the participants applied their knowledge in the safety precautions and other must – know measures before, during, and after the disaster.
